AP Model School Student Damaresh Achieves International Chess Rating
Venkatagiri, June 2026:
K. Damaresh, a student of AP Model School from Venkatagiri, has achieved a rare distinction by demonstrating exceptional talent in an International Rating Chess Tournament and securing an International Chess Rating of 1498. Damaresh has become one of the first students in the history of Venkatagiri to achieve an international-level chess rating.
Damaresh participated in a three-day International Rating Chess Tournament held last month at Nehru Stadium in Chennai, and it is noteworthy that he achieved this remarkable victory in his very first international rating competition. Having already proven his talent in district, state, and national level chess competitions, Damaresh has now demonstrated his caliber at the international level as well.
On this occasion, AP Model School Principal D. Tulasi Jyothi congratulated student Damaresh, stating that his hard work, determination, and dedication are the reasons behind this success. She expressed her wishes that he should go on to achieve many more national and international victories in the future, bringing greater name and fame to the school, his parents, and the town of Venkatagiri. The school’s teachers and staff also warmly congratulated Damaresh and noted that his achievement is an inspiration to other students. వెంకటగిరికి చెందిన ఏపీ మోడల్ స్కూల్ విద్యార్థి కె. దమరేష్ అంతర్జాతీయ రేటింగ్ చెస్ టోర్నమెంట్లో విశేష ప్రతిభ కనబర్చి 1498 అంతర్జాతీయ చెస్ రేటింగ్ సాధించడం ద్వారా అరుదైన ఘనతను సొంతం చేసుకున్నాడు. వెంకటగిరి చరిత్రలో తొలిసారిగా అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయి చెస్ రేటింగ్ సాధించిన విద్యార్థులలో దమరేష్ ఒకరిగా నిలిచాడు.
గత నెల చెన్నైలోని నెహ్రూ స్టేడియంలో మూడు రోజుల పాటు నిర్వహించిన అంతర్జాతీయ రేటింగ్ చెస్ టోర్నమెంట్లో పాల్గొన్న దమరేష్, తన మొదటి అంతర్జాతీయ రేటింగ్ పోటీలోనే ఈ విశిష్ట విజయాన్ని అందుకోవడం విశేషం. ఇప్పటివరకు జిల్లా, రాష్ట్ర మరియు జాతీయ స్థాయి చెస్ పోటీలలో ప్రతిభ కనబరిచిన దమరేష్, ఇప్పుడు అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో కూడా తన సత్తాను చాటాడు.
